I went through a series of events in 2009 and 2010 (a year and 3 months) that resulted in literally 90ish % of my life gone or ruined.... And had to recover. Ever since then ive adopted the Pheonix name with some extension. Sorta literally risen from the fire (house I lived in towards the end of my time in college burned down, the second of the 3 events).

I spell it wrong because i always liked it. More that way.

Not the most positive or fun of stories... But im here and standing still... So its something??

In the last year alone I pulled a siatic nerve.... Burned my stomach (small scar) and broke the left most bone in my left foot in 3 places and barely dodged surgery as it is... So not great?

Word. Its getting old fast. I just want to find Reddits replacement, a place for current and less accessable news and random funny nonsense. Not read post after post about how reddits failing or not failing. I dont care. I left.

I hope Lemmy becomes more like it, not its antagonist.

Like others have noted, between being a growing platform and the exodus of Reddit, theres bound to be a influx of users... Internet users. The worst...

I came here from Reddit, unable to support the site any longer. I to am see changes from when i started (initially visiting before creating an account a few months ago) and there are some changes already. But you get some good to. A better diversity of posts and more interesting things. But also ass hats. The good.ajd bad of the internet. Still. I do feel this site, at least for bow, is far less toxic then reddit... Or 4chan (lol). So... It is what it is?

We need to make the best of lemmys, and maybe we can encourage the positive over the ass hattery. (fairly certain thats a word, yea).
