So, we prefer dictatorships now? Interesting.

Depends on the franchiser.

Some are completely hands off that let you use their name for a slice of profits and simply move on once the deal falls through.

Others however like to micromanage, with a ton of restrictions and a middle-level cunt watching your every step and butting in on everything.

I blame the uptight protestants who needed a severe moral code or something.

Also, for a time period, in some tropical places bare breasts supposedly meant a prostitute was working.

I think that in Korea, up to the early 20th century, women of age were topless to show they weren't married. Covered up meant they were no longer free? Need a source on it for specifics if anyone cares to search.

And it was in an African tribe i think that the opposite happened. Bare breasts meant a mother that was actively breastfeeding.

It's all foggy memories though, so accuracy is low.

I knew. Then I forgot. Now I know again.

You did. I misread at the time or not at all.

I guess it might have been a waste of time they'd rather have skipped. Same as this chain of replies might be for you.
Huh.

I think that's up to the courts to decide and perhaps in this case, the company decided a verdict against them would be more damaging than a settlement.

When I was poor, I pirated a lot of games, played them and then spread the word.
I can say and do believe I helped sales and increasing popularity.

It's not just a pat on the back. My recommendations had others play games they'd never even heard of and in turn recommended them to others.

Of course, now that I can afford some games and no longer play them at launch, I just stick to "Grab them on a sale! It's worth it at a smaller price!"

Well yes, but Americans have that unpleasant thing called ACAB that likely prevents them from accepting any attempt at removing their perceived self-defense against the abuse committed by authorities.

You're telling me nobody owns his shows, the material used to train the LLM, whatever trademark is used to allow redistributing his works etc just because he's dead?

Because you can't get rid of guns completely. For one, the security forces of those in power will have them and second, those who intend to do bad things to people will have them.

Once the technology exists and is available to the public, one can no longer stop its proliferation.

Probably because they're basically poison that has to be filtered out and fucks up your liver and kidneys.
