I'll check that out, thanks. I think that's a pretty good idea.

Lovingly hold the dog and do dog-weighted squats

Yeah that's a solid approach. I like that. Any idea why the Studio displays aren't as bright as the MBP screens? I haven't compared them side by side before. I should probably do that.

WOW, that is an insane amount of performance gain 🤯

Alright thanks for the input. Yeah, I have 32gb in my PC and never struggle with usage. I'm happy to see apple finally bumping the base, but it's still a bit light 😊

My partner has a CanonRP which takes pictures at a resolution of 6240 x 4160. They're currently using a MBP from about 2016 with 16GB of RAM. The screen is beautiful to work with - but any image processing in Lightroom can be measured in half-minutes. It takes a LONG time to see a change.

The laptop basically doesn't leave the office. I've been trying with the idea of upgrading to a newer MBP or an iMac or a Mac mini + a cinema display. I'm trying to keep it under 3K.

The cinema display and iMac don't seem to be as bright as the MBP screen which I found odd. I'm also not sure if performance impacts of using an M4 vs M4 Pro. I'm sure whatever is picked out will smoke the existing machine.

I'm looking for advice that anyone can offer. My partner doesn't want to venture outside of the apple ecosystem.

Thanks in advance!

I ran a half marathon at the end of September and then complained to my friends how running has ruined my summer and taken over my life. I grew pretty sick of it. So, now that that's out of my system,I feel refreshed and I laced up and ran 4mi over lunch earlier this week and it was wayyyy harder than it should have been hahaha! Looking like I've got some rebuilding to do.

Is there a playbook you find effective to achieve his goal, and what is the timeline?

I find it hilarious that the image is of Google Play and the title used the word "this". Pretty misleading

The more expensive Bike+ does it, but not the regular one. It's a hard sell given the price difference.

This looks amazing. I'm impressed you even have the little stainless steel containers.

Hey, that's great to hear! Solid progress ✊ I'm down to about 225-230lb now, so we're probably a similar size.

I picked up BodyGlide and put it in my thighs to help reduce the friction and that's helped a lot. Running can offer some embarrassing or nasty pains. People aren't usually shy about talking about ways to overcome them though!

I've been reading and watching videos on "Zone 2" running to build one's aerobic base. Basically, for non-race runs: slow down. When the heartrate is too high to muster a few sentences while running, you should go slower. I was skeptical, but it's worked. I guess the heart is a muscle, too, and maybe an important one. So now, every time a new song starts in my headphones, I go through a breathing exercise to take 5 of the deepest breaths I can and semi-slowly release them. It forces my legs to slow their pace.

Sorry for the soapbox moment. I wanted to say good job 👍 keep up the good work. You've made solid progress
