I miss those, when I was small we had a local store that did that for all meat products. You just said X amount of bacon. Instead of buying a million separately packaged packs that barely last 1 family breakfast. Or well, going out of my way to hit up lidl, because they're like the only ones selling bigger packs.

Now don't get me wrong, butcher counters still exist, but they're rare and many are expensive hipster shit.

Aye, we also have plenty of stupid assholes. But so far we mostly only import the superficial stuff like huge pickups that don't fit anywhere. Most people have no idea what life in America is actually like and American daily life is thankfully far removed. Like in the example of the subject at hand. Kids walking and taking public transit to school is a common widespread practice anywhere I went and lived, nobody ever would consider someone NOT DRIVING a strange sight that needs investigating.

As much as I love to hate on apple, any of this format shit is 100% Windows bullshit. It's not just pictures, with shit like webm, or some random video codecs it'll ask you to FUCKING BUY! But even shit like Windows only supporting some like 3 file formats from the god knows how many out there. Ever since I switched to Linux (heck, even fucking MacOS would do better) all this stopped being an issue. Fuck windows for literally only supporting their special selection of formats. There's a good reason why the first step of many people installing windows is also Installing VLC or MUCH superior image viewers. Because Microsoft chooses to not support most things out there!

2002 here, we still had such a TV. For quite a while actually, since we never upgraded and just started using phones and computers instead. It became my console monitor.

I don't really see the difference, considering he can just lock anybody who opposes him up. People are already bending over for him out of fear, people that used to be critical of him. Challenging him will take some serious balls facing a suicide mission.

Reminds me of the American mindset of always making something FIRST, THE BEST or THE BIGGEST! Nothing can ever just be nice or comfortable. It can never be "Know the thing next town? Yea we did that here!", it's always "Know the thing next town? Yea we wiped the floor with em! Come to us!". Needless to say, my visit to the states was quite tiring after a while.

There are plenty of good mobile games, the problem is none of em get promoted on Google Play, finding em is like a fucking treasure hunt.

Honestly, it just feels like a matter of time before we're gonna see tractor sized vehicles around in cities and people are still gonna say they NEED them for groceries. Yet when I actually visited America and we went grocery shopping with a pickup the size of my room back home, I got the experience of having shopping bags on my lap in the passage seat for the first time ever. Like where else you gonna put it? The trunk? The back seats??? Oh you jokester! There's like legit no space inside these things.
