Microsoft products in this area are weird to me. Like C#, Powershell is great on one hand yet annoying and more difficult to rangle on the other compared to other solutions that are out there.

We just need a free dart monkey or two, it'll be fine.

You'd have to have the data breach also be the cause of them losing massive amounts of wealth, which probably isn't going to happen.

If you really want to have some fun, when an Intel CPU is out preforming an AMD one on the charts go and mention that in a thread related to CPU performance. I'm fairly sure you'll be talking to people paid with AMD money to astroturf the shit out of Reddit who will make up every excuse they can about the situation.

OP might not have a PhD but this stuff happens a lot on reddit. A lot of people here on Lemmy have an IT background and would get a rude shock looking at some of the dominant opinions on the major technology-related subreddits, particularly those that are heavily astroturfed.

Garmin software, particularly their integration with third parties absolutely bloody sucks. Their hardware is amazing though.

Performance and reliability when gaming is my only reason for keeping Windows installed.

Steam and everything else have already exceeded my wildest expectations in Linux, however I am somebody who wants to come home from work, fire up a game and have it work perfectly with the best settings and framerates I can manage. I don't have the time nor patience to troubleshoot why some update just broke the game in some way after I've spent the last 10 hours dealing with other people's problems.

You can alternatively install Adguard too which will happily sit in a Docker container on a regular server if you're aware of how to do that.

I do wonder how long it's going to take for these device manufacturers to get wise and start hard coding their own host file on these devices with the addresses they use.
