I'm surprised that Vivaldi isn't more popular next to Brave tbh.

You get Chromium with a bunch of other features if you want them, but no crypto crap. They even run their own Mastodon instance with built-in functionality out of the box.

I'm just happy we have all of these choices.

The FOSS apps are fantastic already and Sync is there if you want that too.

Paid software absolutely has a place in the world. Evil companies producing evil software designed to build a monopoly and lock out FOSS apps do not. I don't think Sync falls into the latter and I'm happy they've made the choice to be able to eat.

  1. All of the basics should just work well out of the box with minimal tweaking. Yes even NVIDIA stuff.
  2. The software center needs a massive overhaul. It feels like an afterthought by people who would rather use a command line.
