In Australia there's a push for nuclear even though we have access to some of the best renewables on Earth and it's way more cost effective to use renewables here too.

We even had some annoying ass shill kid doing the rounds in the media with a fake "movement campaign" proportioning to be the "voice of the youth". It turned out the little bastard was the kid of some wealthy family with direct support and ties to the paid off political party here who's pushing nuclear for their masters. He was sprung when some nerd compared the code in his website to that of the political party and large parts of it were identical.

If that's happening on your distro then try any of the modern big names and it'll be fine. Left over cruft being a problem beyond some extra disk space usage is a thing of the past.

It kinda is but I've tried it and it's very clunky. MobaXTerm is the bees knees in comparison.

I watched a thing about copyright and trademark enforcement where the corporate organization was somehow able to gather a team of 50 police at tax payer expense and march them into a Sunday market in order to capture and shut down market stores selling fake knockoffs. You could see how wildly unpopular it was with the entire crowd around them where some shoppers even continued browsing and trying to purchase goods from the shut down stores even with cops standing right there trying to make the crowd move on.

Copyright and trademark infringement against multi-billionare companies with continuous record profits is seen as a victimless "crime" at best by the vast majority of people, even reasonably well off people too. The only repercussion if you're "caught" should be just paying the actual construction/reproduction cost of the item which is pennies, they weren't going to make this sale at their ridiculous retail price in the first place and their real losses are miniscule at best.

All modern distros let you install them all and just select which one you wish to use from the login screen. You don't need NixOS or anything specifically to do this, in fact it's easier on other distros because usually nothing more than installing the packages is required, no config editing, rebuilding or even rebooting.

Don't worry, I wish there was a Linux equivalent to MobaXterm anyway.

Linux Mint is one of the best ways to take an old business laptop from a few years ago and turn it into a nice, functional and smooth running device. I have been doing this myself too.

If it were true it'd be removed before then anyway.

The only thing I care about in this is if they will contribute anything back to the open source ecosystem, be it code or anything else.

Yes but it's fiddly.

I'm more concerned about that man bun tbh.

I was into "cool techy nerd thing before it was used to fleece people" thing. When scammers started ripping people off with it we referred to them as shitcoins and a Bitcoin was worth basically nothing.
