For me the benefit of AUR isn't necessarily the ease of download. It's the fact that it's community based and anyone can build a package for any software. I always git clone and then makepkg. I hate using yay because I want to read the PKGBLD myself and check the hash. I've found some obscure software via AUR that I wouldn't be able to easily download on other distros. Further more the AUR website allows comments from the community which encourages bug fixes and/or a dialogue with specific package issues.
AUR is also amazing

I used to work at a tech repair company. I've probably repaired close to 50 switches. Even without replacing the digitizer just replacing the LCD and not even messing with the smaller PCB for the digitizer just unplugging the ribbon cable and plugging it back in would sometimes mess with the digitizer. I didn't realize that Hekate had a digitizer calibration but if I ever feel like picking up my modded switch again, I'll keep it in mind. Personally I'm not a fan of the console.
They run the site for free and there's basically no adds. You expect them to afford capabilities for 100s of people doing 30-40 rom downloads at once?
