You are ignoring what you don't want to hear.

The song predates that by five years. https://www.goretro.com/2016/12/why-baby-its-cold-outside-is-not-about.html?m=1

Frank Loesser's son, John, was interviewed about the song by the Palm Bean Post in 2010 that was reprinted on the official site for his dad. From the article:

“My father wrote that song as a piece of special material for he and my mother to do at parties,” says John Loesser, who runs the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, and is the son of legendary composer Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.)

Frank Loesser’s wife, Lynn, was a nightclub singer who had moved from Terre Haute, Ind. to New York in search of a career. She was singing in a nightclub when she met Frank Loesser around 1930.

The song itself was written in 1944, when Loesser and his wife had just moved into the Hotel Navarro in New York. They gave a housewarming party for themselves and when they did the number, everybody went crazy.

“We had to do it over and over again,” Lynn Loesser told her kids, “and we became instant parlor room stars.”

Performers started to take note of the song, and record covers of it. It's also featured in the 1949 musical comedy Neptune's Daughter as sung by Ricardo Montalbán and Esther Williams below. And in that movie, it takes an ironic tone since the movie takes place in a warm climate. It also earned Loesser an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

If germany is an ally today the US then its never too late to keep fighting.

But you are absolutely entitled to feel like its pointless. Its not true, one might even say there has never been a fair election since the creation of the electoral college.

To say there will never be another fair election is hyperbolic.

I've probably got another 35 years, 67 more if im really lucky, you will have to give me more than 6 to 12 months.

I genuinely hope this doesnt cause a new civil war or worldwar. But im not willing to bet it isnt a precipice that has just been driven past, im waiting for a fall

The dnc should all fall on their sword politically and admit that it would been better today had they given being their blessing and support when it would have mattered.

Then give Bernie power in the dnc to craft the future of the party. Find a new direction while there's still time

I find it easy to understand, its been mentioned before. Jon Stewart faced the same criticism when he appeared on crossfire and gave an absolute amazing appearance.

Its sad that his comedy show was a better news show than the news shows were. And still are amazingly.

But he did make the same argument, you are a news show and call yourselves journalists, why arent you holding your guests accountable by asking them tough questions.

Tucker Carlson responded with much the same answer you gave, because then guests wont talk to us or come on our show.

It sucks that politicians arent made to answer for their actions but there is no mechanism to do so. Not directly as in an interview, and voting them out doesnt seem to work either so there is essentially no way to hold their feet to the fire
