Go to any tech community and most of the questions are "how do I get this to work?"

It's why they made an account. Go to any Steam game community page, lmao. Linux isn't exclusive on that one. They wouldn't be posting if they didn't have a question? It's why they showed up.

Do people go to Microsoft forums to hang out with their buddies?

I know how good Linux is, it's why I use it. I won't be trolled out of using it because it's too hard for you. I use it every day. I'm using it rn.

You can know everything about why something happened and still be sad about it.

The loudest voices shouting about how bad W11 is are always Linux users, especially on Lemmy

If we had nothing to complain about, we'd still be using Windows. It's why we aren't.

A Resistance game following some of the trends put forth by the Doom remakes.

A Killzone game that brings back some of the platforming mechanics from games like Titanfall 2.

Crash, Sackboy, Daxter and Clank indie-style metroidvanias and platformers.

A new Tearaway

A new Gravity Rush

A Grand Turismo 4 Remaster, or at least one that isn't shit.

Call Capcom up and talk about an exclusive Resident Evil that only works with your exclusive PS5 controller.

Call Remedy up and get a good original 3rd person shooter.

Win the game: Steam App on PlayStation, emulation layer capable of playing most indie games and lightweight offerings on Steam. TF2 on a PS5? Why not?

Like, be awesome again, Sony.

every few years on Linux Discord groups across the internet

"Hi, Windows just stopped support, you guys got any suggestions?"

I use Jellyfin and Finamp and they work fine. All the old navidrome and airsonic solutions seem to be dead, and I never liked Funkwhale. Who wants all of their music in encrypted block storage?

I also like the quality bump. When I'm not streaming, my music is in FLAC on a DAP with some high quality cans. I can't get that with Spotify on a phone, and I camp and hike a lot in areas without cell service, so having it with me is a plus.

Music sits in between storing movies and books. I have less than 2TB in total but the amount of albums is more than the amount of films that I have, and that's 7TB+. Music, even FLAC, isn't terrible on space, unless you're a 24-bit fiend.

Hobbyists have made Pokemon clones in their basement for decades. They never needed the source code.

If I'm not mistaken, there's an entire online RPG ran by hobbyists.

Neither decision will save medicare, social security, education or the middle class.

Harris will do what she can, same as Biden has, but neither has any effect on disinformation, bigotry, division or inequality beyond shaking their fingers in disapproval, if it even is disapproval and not just saving face for us.

Trump and his kind are a virus. I'm not saying there is no solution, but the current methods our society governs by aren't doing a solid job of dealing with it, to a point that they may even be making it worse by being too cowardly to put a foot down. They won't save America. They're as much a part of the corruption as the corruption. They'll only go as far as to protect themselves.

I don't make these predictions with any sort of supernatural foresight. It's what Biden and Obama did, it's what Harris will do, keep the seat warm until it's red again while the planet dies, respective kings and queens of the ashes.

You absorb it into your soul and it changes you irreversibly forever.

turns Mullvad back on

Miss Nessa is/was/occasionally semi-feral, and still has signs of it. She will not lay on a human. She'll walk over you, let you pick her up, let you pet her, but she hard-bites and has zero differentiation between play and ripping to bits. It also isn't easy to read her cues unless you're with her for a while or know her already. So, I take care of her since she can't really be around kids or the elderly, and as long as you remember her rules and keep your eye on her when petting her, she's fine, loving and chill.
