"If you don't tip don't go out"? Telling people who want to see the tipping culture removed to not go out means that either way, the waiter doesn't get tipped. Europe has restaurants, so clearly tipping or not tipping doesn't dictate the existence of restaurants.

If a waiter works an entire shift and receives no tip, they are entitled to actual minimum wage instead of the reduced minimum wage. So there shouldn't be any moral misgiving to not tipping, it's just social pressure.

Well, just picking Kamala was probably a better choice than having a contested open primary for 3 weeks leading up to the convention. People couldn't even vote on that primary, it would just be a vibe check the superdelegates decided on.

I don't think their vote even decided the race since Kamala lost PA and GA too. We shouldn't blame them either, blame the DNC for running Biden a second term until the final hour.

The DOJ, through the FBI informants who communicated with Philippi for months, outlined the rough details of Philippi's alleged plan, which it said was motivated by racial hatred. According to the DOJ, Philippi was connected with several white-supremacist groups

The FBI seemed to think he was connected with white supremacists, so I would imagine he's pro Trump. Seems a bit of a stretch for a white supremacist to vote for a non white candidate.

I imagine as kids we eventually got through it on accident. Like out of frustration we mashed the down button to make our jump land harder and it actually worked xD

The spinning barrel at the end can be solved by jumping on it and holding Up or Down to match the direction of the barrel. It will make the bounce distance enormous enough to hop off on the down swing.

For example, you jump on the barrel and it naturally goes down, so you hold down. It will go down 20 pixels. As it starts to go back up, you hold up (no need to jump or anything) and it will go up 40 pixels. On the way down you hold down and it will go down 80 pixels. Repeat until the bounce goes so far down you hop off below with ease.

The numbers are made up, but the process is correct.

The only thing I would add is that with the electoral system, it's not the candidate with the most electoral votes that win, it's the candidate who gets half+1 votes (270 or more currently)

If candidate A wins 250 votes, candidate B wins 200 votes and candidate C wins 88 votes, candidate A does not win. If there is no winner, the house of representatives votes for president, each state getting one vote.

Another reason why third party presidential candidates are never serious contenders.

It's actually more insidious. Blizzard facilitates gold buying by being a middle man. 30 days of wow subscription is $15. Blizzard sells a $20 wow token. Buyers of the token automatically sell it in game to players for gold. Players who sell their In game gold can redeem the token for game time or $15 Blizzard bucks, which can buy any virtual item in the Blizzard store. Games, expansions, and mounts such as this.

If you don't want to spend $90 in real life, you can sell your gold for 6 tokens for $90 Blizzard bucks and get the mount.

The token has been hovering around $170k all month and now it spiked to almost $360k (token price tracker). So now cash buyers can get way more gold for their bucks, and the 6 tokens exchanged for gold (to buy the mount) will net Blizzard $120.

Isn't it normally code to have a fence around a pool? So even if he had a medical episode while riding a lawnmower, surely a fence would have stopped the mower.

I have to imagine that he refused to have a fence around his pool because big government can't tell him what to do, so perhaps this death is from hubris.

Same! I finally "beat" satisfactory by delivering all the project parts. In early access I unlocked all milestones but never delivered the final project part.

Starting space age, only got up to automating green science, working on military science now. Probably won't be able to play much this week though.

"We need to use the military on the enemy within if necessary"

"Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi are examples of enemies from within"

Seems pretty clear.

He wants to use the military against "left leaning lunatics". Well if he refers to everyone on the left as a lunatic, then that's everyone who disagrees with him. He sometimes defines the "lunatics" as the communist and Marxist in the party. But we already had McCarthyism once, what about second McCarthyism? Is anyone who votes left just a secret communist in disguise?

Housing needs to be less commodimized, but tons of normal families have their entire network tied up in a home.

Any act that raises home prices hurts though without and any act that lowers home prices hurts those with. How can we untangle homes being family's largest asset without screwing older people.

Without homes and apartments being a commodity, how do we determine who gets to live where fairly? Isn't there like 10x as many vacancies than homeless people? So it's not a supply issue, it's a location issue. The open market is great for sorting that out, but the open market has abused housing and is squeezing too hard.

I don't like that home prices are as high as they are, and we need to change our mindset about how home pricing should work. It needs both government oversight and market forces.
