I've spent so many hours on it, something about it makes time just slip away for me. But once I get to rockets I get overwhelmed and eventually just start a new colony

Were you into DMC or Bayonetta? I love those games for similar reasons. Might be worth checking out if you're into hack and slash gameplay and you haven't tried them already.

So what is it about RE that keeps you coming back? Were you into all the games in the series?

I feel like you gotta know what kind of games appeal to you. I'm also not into a whole lot of modern games but I got completely absorbed with Outer Wilds and Subnautica. Freely exploring a world with interesting mechanics while you try and uncover what is going on. Love it.

I also found I really enjoy Oxygen Not Included and Frostpunk. Something about making sure all my people are surviving and hopefully thriving really keeps me invested. And the little narrative things in those games are nice icing on top too.

So for games you like, like the RE 4 remake, what were the things you liked about it? Once you know what kind of things you enjoy in games it makes it easier to find more of that.

I always thought couscous was it's own grain and was confused by your statement so I had to look it up.

TIL couscous is made from wheat flout, semolina specifically, and is technically a pasta.

That said, the title of the map does say it's comparing staple foods, not grains. Makes perfect sense to do IMO.

I was actually thinking of the person in the crowd but yeah, gunman too. At the same time, if it were a setup, "killing" the gun man would be the move since there would be no one to investigate, right? But an innocent bystander killed?

I wanna agree, especially with how performative the fist pump is, but at the same time, someone did die, right? That's the part that makes me lean towards this as a real assassination attempt. But maybe it was an accepted cost of doing this?

I dunno, at this point I think I just need to take a break from news communities and wait for real investigations, I'm losing my mind with the speculations

Thank you for your service and good luck with your gastro-glitter issues

You joke but we've literally gone to Comiket together and compared hauls after, conventions and stuff were a big part of how we got to know each other (get yourself a partner with similar interests!). I forget exactly what we got but I know we both had questionable stuff with school uniform wearing characters. We were in our 20s so didn't feel as creepy, but same issue as I mentioned before, a lot of good stuff is made around young people, but I'd love more good media with actual adults as leads.
