Aren't those the same thing?

You've got a point. This can be a sign of something sinister. It's not necessarily a bad a sign but the situation that the previous user pointed out happens frequently enough that it could be.

I really don't get why someone would do this other than to play out some sort of sick fantasy. No one good ever destroys public utilities.

I'm aware that's how they work but when the system "works" and the result is starving families then maybe it's time we rethink whether we should keep following this system, no?

I love that we need ironclad proof to decide whether or not it's okay for people to be able to afford sustenance or not. If there's no proof then, oh well! The poors will just have to make do.

They take us for fools.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

Right, right, they were like "you're not doing it right!"

I believe it was coined by the British left when the USSR quashed the Hungarian revolution by driving tanks through their streets. Anyone still in support of them is deemed a "tankie." Nowadays it was meant to criticize authoritarian communists.

The image is formatted in a tweet with image format. The caption says "handle with care" over two pictures. The first picture is of an Amazon package with "fragile" written in sharpie. The second picture is on the inside the box with a paper and the text "a middle manager's ego" on it.
