The Reds have majority control of Senate and the Supreme Court. Trump is the least of America's problems. If they win the House too there will be no checks as it is so unbalanced.

I can't wait to hear your weeping when the Trump backed MIC starts shovelling weapons to Israel, awards Netanyahu with the Medal of Freedom, and vetos any Israeli conviction by the ICC.

When both Gaza and the WB are completely annexed and Trump congratulates Netanyahu for a job well done while violently suppressing any US protests, I'm sure you'll admit your refusing to vote for Harris was a great idea.

I don't think you truly appreciate the shit storm that is coming your way. Because of you and your compatriots refusal to vote Dem Trump "will be a dictator on day one". 13-20 million 'illegal' immigrants are promised to be deported. It is now possible anyone protesting, or even daring to speak out on social media (they'll even look here I'm sure) against Israel's actions will be included in that number. If I were you I'd get my licks in while I could, but use a VPN while doing it if it isn't too late already.

It's looking like the whole of US government is going to be majority Red through and through. That means any bill, including one for the formation of HUAC 2.0 gets rammed through. Oh well, at least you'll have self-righteousness to console you going through whatever happens after January.

Though doubt looms over Trump's moves in the coming months, his warm relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his September claim that Ukraine was "demolished" and its people "dead" have left Kyiv worried.

In his victory speech in Florida, Republican party leader Trump did not directly mention the war in Ukraine but reminded the cheering crowd that the U.S. saw "no wars" during his first presidential term from 2017 to 2021 before Joe Biden, the Democratic party's outgoing president, succeeded him.

. . .

The Kyiv Independent asked six Ukrainian servicemen for their reaction to Trump's victory.

Invader deaths aren't 'needless'. They are necessary to force russia's withdrawal. An unfortunate necessity to be clear, but every russian (and apparently north korean) casualty increases the safety of innocent civilians and defenders, and brings Ukraine closer to a righteous victory.

Summary

Regardless of Putin’s decision regarding the war in Ukraine, Russia’s economy is facing a crisis due to factors such as sanctions, a shrinking sovereign wealth fund, and a labor shortage. The war has boosted growth, but Russia cannot sustain it without significant economic consequences.

Russian Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullinawarned comments, made to a group of State Duma lawmakers, come a week after the Central Bank hiked its key rate to a record-high 21%, taking it even further than the emergency rate of 20% initially introduced after the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

Facing a shortage of planes due to Western sanctions, Russia is in talks with some Central Asian countries for their airlines to run domestic flights and help meet a pick up in travel demand.

Russian airlines, which use many Western aircraft delivered before the war in Ukraine, are struggling to meet growing demand for air travel as sanctions hinder access to parts and domestic production takes time to ramp up.

Transport Minister Roman Starovoit said last week Russia was in talks with so-called "friendly" countries, including Kazakhstan, about foreign airlines operating domestic flights, Russian news agencies reported.

Russia has also approached Uzbekistan, which is considering the proposal, an Uzbek government source told Reuters.
