Fuck the unAmerican, unpatriotic assholes for cheating and stealing the very foundations of our ideals. This is what happens when these people weren't held accountable for January 6th and the first attempt to overthrow our government. If they had been held accountable, they would not be able to hold government positions and oversight positions over the very things they tried to overthrow. They should have been charged with felonies and lost their right to vote, quite honestly.

We've depended upon the courts to prevent the next insurrection, but they see either already corrupt as we're seeing with the SC, or they're toothless due to lack of precedent in this.

We're sleep walking into another civil war and the result will not depend upon right or wrong, but will be dependent upon who wields the power and weapons. We can't depend upon the government or the military doing the right thing as trump will get rid of all the barriers that existed 4 years ago.

I agree. I actually think it's a net negative as well for friendships. As in the case of OP, I would rather get an original email from the sender saying they couldn't make it, so let's meet the next day, but instead I have to read thru several paragraphs of boilerplate and AI crap instead, which wastes my time, and I know the sender did it, so I'm mad at them for being impersonal. At some point, we're just going to have people's AI responding to each other without any person actually reading it.

We're only doing this because every company doesn't want to be left behind so they go all in. It feels like Ian Malcolm said it best in Jurassic Park

"Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should"

Isn't this fucker dead yet? I have a bottle of scotch waiting for this asshole's demise. Same as Betsy DeVoss and her shitty brother; and the final Koch brother...

This is what happens when you don't hold criminals accountable for their actions. If we'd actually been tough on these assholes, then we wouldn't be in this predicament. What are we going to do when all these states say that Trump won? If the past is any indication, the Democrats will cave and let Trump take office, or will bring their case to the SC who have shown that they don't give a shit about democracy and will install a Republican regardless of the election outcome.

We should have tried those responsible for January 6 and held them accountable, including long prison sentences. I'm looking at you, Trump, Gohmert, MTG, and anyone else who actively tried to overthrow our government or gave in-depth, secret tours to groups that tried to.

Speak for yourself, and if you don't, you should really look into buying them. We're not heading towards a happy place in this country.

Thanos is the hero we need

Absolutely agreed. The middle class is disproportionately paying for the taxes in this country and the only thing I want mine used for is to keep us safe and maintain our infrastructure. The Republicans and this disastrous Supreme Court is doing everything in their power to divert taxes from the beneficial usage that many want it to be used for to tax cuts for the super wealthy and giveaways to corporations. Fuck them all and I'd rather see our country divide and burn than drown slowly in this cesspool of shit.

Hamas certainly said it in the past. Israel is doing it now. Who's right and who's wrong?

I really hate it. In fact, it's hard to listen to because it's been built to reply in such a sycophant way. Everything is enthusiastic and positive when that's not how real life is. I'm paraphrasing obviously, but it's like "OMG you're wearing a leather jacket and a light colored shirt, you're so cool!" and "You're in an industrial place with lighting, that's so awesome!"

I'd rather they work on code that optimizes the validity of the results and prevents hallucinations rather than work on emotive responses.

Do you think that Trump would do any differently at all in support of Israel? You've gotta be fucking kidding me! Again, you're just a sycophant...

Fear. It's that simple. An authoritarian mindset is one predicated on fear. After 9/11, Dick Cheney and George H. W. Bush used fear to drive their policies of restrictive freedoms. They pushed these through so they could amass additional powers and push government money towards their friends. Once these freedoms are gone, they almost never come back. The Republican party has been running on a campaign of fear ever since. Quite honestly, they've used fear as their driving force since the '80s. Back then it was fear of the Communists, and then it was fear of 'big government" and then it was fear of immigrants, or "the gays", or restrictions of the second amendment, or caravans of people coming up from South America. Fear is the only thing that they can run on since they have no actual plans to move our country forward.

Unfortunately, there's a reason that you hardly see many fat, old people.
