Well the ideal end result depends on the person, doesn't it?

I'm sure Karl Marx and Stalin had very different ideas of what the ideal end result of communism would be.

From my understanding; Marx envisioned a worker's utopia, while Stalin instead used communism to garner as much power for himself as possible.

When I'm on my deathbed, I'm absolutely sure I won't be thinking about work.

History classes in the US are patriot washed to convince soon to be laborers that they're living in the greatest country to ever possibly exist.

The more I study history, the more I see the great wheel of humanity. Communists now, Jews in the 40s, Muslims in the early middles ages, the barbaric Gauls before Christ was even born. It never stops. The people with wisdom die off leaving remnants of their culture and ideas while the next generations tries to piece it all together.

Good people aren't willing to lie in order to abuse populist fears. Fear is such a powerful political motivator. That's why we have shitstains like Trump in office. Short sighted people will give up everything to feel "safe". The reality of our situtation doesn't seem to matter as much as how people feel inwardly.

America has taken it's post WW2 golden age economic boom and squandered it for unbelievably greedy short termed gains for a miniscule class of people.

My friend likes to say China is playing civ while America is shooting itself in the foot.

I get it in the past because the information was simply not accessible for most people. Nowadays there is no excuse for ignorance. It takes a 5 minute google search to get a taste of the inhumanity of history. Everyone should be willing to put in at least 5 minutes man.

Almost all of the WW2 vets are gone man. I worry that the far right resurgence around the world is being allowed to happen because people are simply ignorant to the horror of WW2. I remember talking to someone younger than me about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. He didn't seem to think much of the Holocaust which I found disturbing. I started bringing up the numbers and I could see the shock in his face. He genuinely didn't seem to grasp just how many people were murdered because of fascism.
