First, in many states the electors are bound by law to support the candidate that wins the popular vote in their state. The penalties may vary, but the intent is clear: to make sure people realize it is against the law in that state

Honestly this is so stupid if I understand their reasoning for existing in the first place. Unless I'm misunderstanding they were supposed to exist literally for this exact election, where the people elected an absolute atrocity of a person and "our betters" would recognize that and vote against him.

We should just do away with it if we have no interest in utilizing them for their actual purposes.

I understand why they're doing this, but Magoos are going to be laughing their asses off absolutely loving this. In their minds they wouldn't want "a blue haired bisexual cat lady" anyway so to them the only people getting "hurt" are liberal guys who would be these women's allies anyway.

Naturally they aren't considering the actual safety aspect of it since they don't give a shit... God I hate those people... :(

"Alawieh couldn’t bring himself to vote for Trump; he voted for Harris. But he didn’t necessarily want her to win either. “I wanted her to beat Trump, but Harris winning would mean my family stays in the same nightmare we’ve come to know. Trump winning makes that nightmare more uncertain, and the ways it will harm my family less clear. But what is clear is that the U.S. government, whether Democrat or Republican, will keep sending weapons to Benjamin Netanyahu illegally. That’s what I have a problem with.”

... Jesus fucking Christ guy... For being involved in politics you have to understand there are 3 things you cannot do no matter what: you cannot change military spending, the MIC won a long time ago. You cannot stop our addiction to Israel. You cannot touch the billionaire class.

Those things have proven to be impossible. Hell will have, first come to even exist, and then freeze over before those things happen... But sure, you have to try, I get it. Just now everyone suffers for it. :/

Seems like a potential win for the likes of Americas adversaries... Useful idiot does useful idiot stuff...

Bet the "art of the deal" douche isn't even getting anything from them, he's just doing the "I want the types of generals Hitler had" thing for himself...

This fuckbag went to the same highschool as me...

My class was about 900 kids. 450 graduated. That should tell you something about the general intelligence of the people of that area. I work in a factory now, I'm no exception.

:/

"But that is far from a sturdy monolith. It can, and should, be easily conquered. All it takes is a platform that authentically offers something—anything—to youth voters. As they’ve proved, time and time again, they’ll listen."

Democrats: Sorry, we'll talk a big game and then just have 2 fuckwit Senators ruin everything. Don't worry though I promise next time will be the same!

Democrats: BUT THE ECONOMY IS BETTER!! Shut up with your ignorant "bad economy" THE STOCK MARKET IS UP!! Yeah yeah a single person spends almost $100/week on groceries not even enough to last the week and wages haven't moved much for low earners unless I aggregate as many sectors as possible and show a compiled list of averages, BUT THE STOCK MARKET!! So what if your wage didn't increase much, the chart says it did!!!

Also Democrats: how are we tone deaf?

I don't think I'm saying it's useless to try, I just separated fascism and authoritarianism (maybe being too pedantic) I'm saying "we" that want progressive policy aren't the majority opinion of Democrats and we depress ourselves when we have delusions of it being otherwise only to find election results and the literal opinions of our neighbors proving otherwise.

I still vote and hope others do, but I think we need to be more realistic about what the rest of "the party" really wants.
