I have even more respect for medical training and doctors. It never occurred to me that they would go through this level of preparation before working in the field. Kudos, damn.

It's also wild to read that a real human cadaver hadn't been dissected until the mid 1500s. As much as the world is shit right now, at least I can be comforted in knowing that if I need surgery, it's based on real knowledge of anatomy.

Humans only "mark their territory" in the bathroom.. well, I hope so anyway

Good point. It does read like a liability disclaimer.

I've noticed that Google doesn't always get the speed limit correct on more rural roads.

Or it can't tell if a temporary, lowered speed sign has been posted in a construction zone, for example.

This.

Additionally, there are lazy people in every company/industry. Many of whom earn more than the average person. Oftentimes, life just isn't fair.

This was great, thanks!

TIL I can just post the link and, maybe it's my Lemmy client (Sync for Lemmy) but it's automatically hyperlinked (for me, at least)

Lemmy won't let me link this properly. Is there an escape character for brackets? This is the link I'm trying to post: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_(miniseries)#Historical_accuracy

Can I pay to point the sun at someone who is making my life miserable? Preventing them from getting a good night's sleep will surely make things better, right?

Discovery used to be science, nature, and well-researched documentaries. Then it turned into the TV version of click-bait.

Netflix seems to be taking the torch from Discovery with some of their "Netflix Series Documentaries".
