Yeah, this is going into the rotation
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

This is how I feel when my boss tells me he’s worked so late some nights he didn’t see his family for the entire day. And if I worked harder, I could be like that.
No thank you sir I don’t wanna be like you.
I've been working in my industry for 20 years now (fuck that's depressing to write). Literally every boss I've ever had but except for one has been baffled by me not wanting to climb the corporate ladder by working more hours and seeing my family less.
The one that understood was like, "Just keep doing you, man. Don't let anyone else tell you that you have to keep moving up." I always appreciated that.
I have no desire to climb. I’m making enough to cover bills, and I want to spend the rest of my time with my family. I’m happy.
Maybe I could save harder but honestly my family is here today and I don’t wanna miss it.
I’m doing the same thing, my dad died right after retiring (didn’t take care of his heart, long story). But he spent a lot of time with us a kids.
He never made much money, but worked construction in the summers so he could ski and be with us in the winters.
It sucks because he missed meeting his grandson, but it showed me gore important it is to be with your family. And also go to the fucking Doctor and manage your blood pressure and arterial health!
Basically, Kirk wanting to stay a Captain, and not get promoted to an Admiral.
He'd rather drive a ship, not a desk.
Literally why my father in law and I have some serious issues
It took years for him to realize I'm not a lazy person who doesn't apply themselves (I am, just not at work), I just refuse to completely abandon my family for financial gain like he did. That royally pissed him off for nearly a decade, but now that he's getting near retirement age he has begun to see my side as having a really good point.
Sure he did it so that his kids could have a good life and inherit enough money to never work once he dies, but the trade-off of the damaged relationships is, to me, not worth it. Especially when the world when I was the age he did that no longer rewarded such behaviour. My favorite example being that I actually did work extra hard for a company, his, and got fired for it. Shuts him up pretty fucking quick at least
I really dislike colorful/patterned shirts with solid white collars. Another reason not to be like him.
That might have been some kind of fad in 1999, when that movie (Office Space) came out? I dunno, it was before my time. But I choose instead to think it was perhaps intentional, to help make this guy a highly visible parody of just an absolute dick. Ofc, both of those things could be true at the same time - it may have been those type of people that liked to wear that type of clothing style!:-P
I dunno, it was before my time.
I'm just going to crawl into this casket.
Oh no, think of how that will affect your coworkers!?
Thanks for this entertaining comis (and note to self : Eventually I will become a billionaire and save the planet!).
Is that a Moonite?
It's either that or a bomb, they're practically indistinguishable.
How hard exactly, because that does seem pretty cool.
