Do you video every moment of your life?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Bruh, I was asking about pics of the event, not videos.

I kid you not, three attempts has been my experience every feckin time until this one magical moment I just announced.

There is a hole where your soul should be, you liar. I bet you never pee in the shower too? again, you liar.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I pee in the shower several times each shower

[–] [email protected] 6 points 8 months ago

Either take shorter shower or go see a doctor

It’s memes like this that makes manufacturers think it doesn’t matter anyway, and suddenly start making devices where the USB sockets are actually upside down. And let me tell you, once you’ve had to deal with one of those, you won’t be laughing anymore.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I've never laughed over this. It's always been constant rage.

My old Lenovo tablet's charging plug has the port upside down, also the tablet itself has the micro USB upside down because of this, so my cable always had to do a little twist when I wanted to charge any other micro USB devices with it.

When I got my USB-C phone, I just swapped the plugs around.

Witchcraft! Burn them!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The secret is to do two practice attempts before you really try to insert it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

Yeah I make sure my cable & device know that I'm not super serious the first two tries, so it doesn't count.

Fucking wizard!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 8 months ago

You think you can just come here and lie to all these people like this? We trusted you

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago

Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most

USB logo upwards, sheer magic

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Sideways usb socket: >:]

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

True but I usually do it in the dark and can't see the female end clearly anyway even if I try to use the braille method (feeling the raised USB logo)

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago

Only because the device was upside down.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago

Who let George Santos onto Lemmy?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago

I hate this meme. The side of the plug that has the USB logo on it is the top. Or if its sideways, it's usually the right side. Once you know that you get it right first time over 90% of the time.

Now try finding the correct PD or altmode or cable on the first try

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I've had an upside down pc for a couple months now and you'd be surprised how much easier it is to plug in anything

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago

I think everyone always gets the direction right the first time. That's why, when it won't go in, and you rotate it 180, it still won't go in and you have to flip it back to the original direction to finally get it in.

Once you recognize the side of the case the motherboard is mounted on its easy,

Truly a remarkable achievement.

no you didn't Mr. Simpson, no one can

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Pretty much most of the time the plastic bit goes in the bottom, I get it in the first time most times.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

okay but there is no top and bottom in my scenario, I'm plugging the charging cable into a power bank that is hanging from a hook, The power bank can spin 360° any way it happens to land at any given moment

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

The top is probably the LED bar or the brand. Plastic bit goes under this. Just keep the plastic bit down and go around plugging it into things, if the device is designed correctly, it should be in the correct orientation most times.

I think he used magnets.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I do it right the first time every time. Because I look at the USB-A and I look at the port it goes into.

Square peg round hole.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I get it almost every time.
I just close my eyes and feel for the symbol that means "this is up".
