Yeah, there no god damned reason K-12 lunch shouldn’t be free. Fucking bonkers to add another line item to people’s budgets. Especially now.
Richest country in the history of the planet, and we have "lunch debt" for kids in school.
They held my high school diploma for 6 months because I had $20 dollar deficit.
They never got the money because my dad threatened a lawsuit.
My school held someone's diploma to the max legal limit (like 6 months) because they did a twirl when walking on stage to get the fake diploma case thing.
Many US schools are more oppressive than some other country's prisons
