Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Who cares what Rogan thinks.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 hours ago

Did he say something like "bro, it was like he cast some spell on me and I could not think right and I made a horrible choice in supporting him. I am ashamed of myself now and I wish I can get back to where I was."?

Otherwise he can fuck off.

Joe Rogan supported and voted for this

[–] [email protected] 9 points 11 hours ago

Nobody should care what Joe rogan thinks.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 12 hours ago

Even if this is true and not just performative bullshit, why should anyone care what he has to say. Plenty of people think it's horrific, let's listen to those who didn't push for it to happen.

I wrote that then decided to actually read the article first instead of commenting on the headline just in case it said something like "Joe said this, but he's a piece of shit so he should fuck off anyway" but nope. I stand by my original comment.

You lost me at "Even Joe Rogan thinks.."

Give Joe about 48hrs and he will change his mind about it.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 14 hours ago

True enough...

[–] [email protected] 16 points 19 hours ago

joe rogan platformed this administration. he wanted this.

[–] [email protected] 69 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No he’s not. He’s actively helping the admin.

By pushing it as a simple, innocent mistake. That’s the party line. They’re assholes who thought they were the smartest in the room and wouldn’t get caught.

Now that they got caught, they really can’t deny it, so “it wasn’t that bad”, is the party line.

They fucked up, “but it was just a mistake, honest”

Fucking Rogan is a propagandist for trump.

I surprised that even a hint of criticism is allowed to escape.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Exactly.

It was a monumental fuck up and everyone knows it.

Sometimes you need to take a few lumps, so you take them from some one you trust. Some one who isn’t trying to drive their fists through the back of your skull with all the strength they can.

No…. You get some one who can slip in some excuses, set up the “it wasn’t so bad” while also framing the “criticism” that’s weak and half assed as “fair minded” or “honest”

This is why people take interviews with people they know will grill them, but also in a way that lets them retcon the narrative- after a large enough fuck up, you’re no longer talking about hiding it or getting away from it. It’s all mitigation and minimization.

So dark ugh it sounds true

You lost me at "Joe Rogan thinks"

Can we avoid the click-bait titles here? I don't click on most huffpost articles for this reason, won't do it here either... I just don't care enough to want to "discover" which aspect is hidden behind it.
