I take absolutely no comfort in the fact that such an incompetent, stupid, harmful man has been made one of the most powerful people in the world. Twice.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, if his "inevitable self-destruction" only affected himself that'd be one thing, but he's done and is going to continue to do a lot of damage. We've got dumb cunt politicians over here in Australia who think he's amazing and are trying to set up their own version of DOGE while government jobs are being destroyed daily. We've still got antivax protests flying Trump campaign flags, and I used to work security in a building with a local right-wing politician's office who had a framed Trump flag on the wall. Trump, the people controlling him and the people enabling him are doing so much damage to everything that no, it's no comfort at all.

The only thing that Trump being such an absolute dipshit has taught me is that if a competent evil arises then we're all totally fucked. Trump, Musk, et al are the least effective versions of themselves that it is possible to be. They've failed their ways into these positions of power largely by accident, they aren't even good at being evil. Replace them with someone who is, and who cares about their public image, and we'll end up with real serious trouble.

Like Putin.

. . . Oh wait!

Copium of the highest quality. Sit back and wait for him to fail is peak libshit.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 20 hours ago

If that was gonna work he'd never would have won in 2024.

His supporters don't care about reality.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Seriously. Even if he does implode, he's gonna fuck up a lot of shit along the way.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I understood the body count he would create. I bring this up to every Trump supporter I talk to. The signs were all there. Ignorance is not an excuse.

I think the Dems need to hear it too. So many think we can just "wait it out" like everything will just revert back once he's gone. It's not a pendulum, and if it were, it's now broken in half. Massive repairs will need to be done.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 21 hours ago

The democrats don't seem to be interested in doing the work. If they were they would have started by now.

Missing from the list, which could be from last year since social media hates displaying dates:

34 felony convictions

1 insurrection

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The average president has been convicted of 0.74 felonies, unless you exclude outliers in which case the average is 0

The problem with this term is that he was handed a playbook to dismantle our democracy, so he doesn’t need to push his own agenda, he just needs to follow a script. If it was his own agenda, I don’t think it would be as effective.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

The problem is that he devout followers are barely phased. He'll leave a power vacuum, but his followers are still losers.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The sit around and wait for it to implode crowd are really pissing me off.

Cool so, what’s the plan?

Pistolas at dawn? Knocking over King’s Liquors? That . . thing where everyone paints their face and dances like . . . Y’know all whoopy?

Oh, or are you thinking more like: malware memecoin, then leverage the take to buy a bunch of bulldozers and level the rnc building?

Quit holdin out!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What are you, a cop? Plans for this situation are not to be discussed on public forums.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 19 hours ago

Right right. Uh. So is it . . . Mm-mmmmmrh?

Or . . y'know . . Rhh-Rrhhhhhgh?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

None of that matters as long as american weaklings allow him to go unpunished. He has not paid a single cent of any of those fines, and will never see the interior of a jail. The inbred hicks who fly a "don't thread on me flag" sure enjoy being used as doormats, and the weak little bitches that "didn't vote for him" think that sternly worded feelings are going to make it all better.

Pathetic nation of losers.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 day ago

Weird the graphic doesn't include the literal felony convictions. Asshole belongs in prison.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The problem isn't that he is not self destructing fast enough... The problem is that he hurts lots of people first before it has any consequence for him.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

His heart will give out before he sees any consequences unfortunately.

Luke Skywalker was my hero as a child, I love that Mark Hamel is a hero in real life

Bullshit.

Why have impeachment if there is no consequences? Just mind boggling.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

"Impeached but not convicted"
