Summary

Donald Trump warned Iran of bombings or renewed tariffs if it refuses a new nuclear deal, echoing policies from his first term.

In an NBC interview, Trump said talks are ongoing but gave no details.

In 2018, he withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement and reimposed sanctions, prompting Iran to exceed uranium enrichment limits.

Tehran has rejected his threats. Iranian officials said they responded via Oman to Trump’s recent letter. Western powers allege Iran seeks weapons capability; Iran insists its program is civilian.

Who would trust a deal with Donald Trump?

Mexico and Canada signed a huge trade deal with him in 2018, during his first term.

Trump signs new trade pact with Canada, Mexico leaders

“It’s been long and hard. We’ve taken a lot of barbs and a little abuse, but we got there” Trump said

Trump is reelected and suddenly he throws away everything he signed.

Who would trust this man? The Iranian leaders are less crazy than him.

Especially because Iran HAD a nuclear deal with the US that they were adhering to and Trump broke that deal in his first term!

Why would they ever risk entering an agreement like that with the US ever again‽

War will allow him to declare martial law and suspend elections (the Robert's Court will allow it, just like they did with his absolute immunity.)
His handlers will want him to do this before 2026 so the house and Senate can't flip.

He is, he just wants to make the war that will end all wars.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago

He is, but special military operations are not off the table.

An yes, the president of peace strikes again.

The most peaceful president in history is how he’ll be remembered.

He’s murdered many innocent people in how many months?

Pol Pot would be envious.

Western powers allege Iran seeks weapons capability

With literally zero evidence, mind you.

That aside, I might be preaching to the choir here but just in case, under the nuclear agreement Iran had signed they significantly scaled back their nuclear program in exchange for a pause in sanctions that lasted all of two years. They, in the long term, gained literally nothing out of the agreement because US secondary sanctions affect the whole world even if the EU likes to pretend it doesn't.

If Iran is developing nuclear weapons, the time to do a test detonation would be before America+Israel turn it into another failed state.

Ah, perhaps this will be the war he needs to stay on his throne indefinitely....
