It is! I went back and re-read it with the voice from the old cartoon in mind. Much better.
Took me a while to recognize the flower and remember what it did.
Jesus this makes me feel old.
On one hand, the newer games have fire too. But on the other hand, that doesn't change how old the old games are. Also, I just played some Super Mario World and it feels just like when I was a kid.
The new one on switch is fun, just too easy. World, 3, and NES Lost Levels (Mario 2 in Japan) are my favorites.
