If he's bitter, just imagine how the rest of us feel, watching him disappoint us as we expected he would but hoped he wouldn't.

Biden has absolutely nobody to blame for him getting ousted but himself.

Dems told him he should not run for a second term, and he ignored them and did it anyway.

Then, he proves all his critics right by absolutely imploding during the debate.

What did he expect?

Time to fade away into obscurity. Thanks for letting your ego get in the way of what was best for America.

Dems told him he should not run for a second term, and he ignored them and did it anyway.

During his 2020 campaign he fucking said he only wanted to serve one term, that he wanted to act as a bridge president. Then he proceeded to do absolutely nothing to put Harris in front of the country, absolutely nothing to set her up for an ezpz “incumbent” primary, and cock blocked the entire fucking country until the last minute.

I don’t know if he lied to our faces, changed his mind, or just forgot but fuck him regardless.

Edit - His only fucking job was to win in 2020, then unchain the AG or whoever to bring cases against every single person who used the Constitution as a cum rag as fast as realistically possible. He failed. He won the election in 2020, then just didn’t finish the fucking job. Fucking pathetic joke of an out of touch old.

Fuck this guy. Shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Now, to a large extent because of his decisions, we all have to suffer through the rule of the dumbest, most bigoted and greedy assholes ever.

But not angry enough to do anything helpful.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 hours ago

I’ll never forgive him for not pardoning Mangione.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 11 hours ago

He fumbled his chance by historical margins when everybody was already scrutinizing his capabilities. There was no recovering from the debate. His legacy will be refusing to accept reality and bringing about an era that my generation may never recover from.

What does this say about Biden's faith in Harris? I always kind of doubted that he actually wanted Harris, and suspected Harris was kind of foisted upon him. If he really believed in her as a person and/or politician, why would he be sitting here pouting and saying that he should've run instead? The whole camaraderie between them always felt kinda shallow and forced, and this really sends that feeling for me.

He should have announced he was going to be a 1 term president a year prior and gave a chance to find a better Democrat candidate. He's senile and hardly able to run the country. No one over 70 should be president. No one over 70 should be in any office or judicial position. Our country shouldn't be ran by the nearly dead. Even 8f some of them like Sanders are great.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

He announced he was going to be a one term president when he was running for that first term. (I know a campaign promise isn't an announcement, but it was supposed to be common knowledge before he changed his mind.)

That article quotes Biden staffers who are attributing quotes to him. I must have misremembered him stating as much directly, idk. Fuck him either way.

The reality is his personal mental acumen is very, very irrelevant if he's surrounded himself with trusted advisors who are competent. That being said, you can't show up to a debate and look like you're 200 years old and have no idea what planet you're on.

That might be the case if he had surrounded himself with competent advisors.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 hours ago

The US's only chance at starting to get better will have to have a leader and not a puppet. Being surrounded with politicians in your trust will keep things running, but just keep pumping out more of the same shit we have had.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

You shouldn't have run for a second term, old man!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 hours ago

IMO he was weak the first time, too. Center-right Democrats are plague on the country.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 5 hours ago

Piece of shit found out that what the party can grant him, they can take away. Unfortunately for all of us, the party acted too late in ousting his decrepit genocide-loving ass.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

You still woulda lost, Joe. Dumb American voters wanted someone to blame for groceries costing more, and that blame went to you.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I originally read that as "genocide costing more" and was like "how true"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 14 hours ago

Sadly, most Americans don't care about what happens to other people.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

"Being forced out" is a funny way to spell "losing the election".

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

He didn't lose an election though.....

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 hours ago

He didn't? How would you describe what happened?

[–] [email protected] 74 points 1 day ago

This is the most incredibly selfish thing I could possibly imagine. An old man moping about his inability to cling to power for another minute. As the next generations look on, begging for someone to act.

He paints Trump as a villain (rightfully so) but is so pathetic that he is unable to rise to any heroism. At least go out swinging.

Don't know what I expected. But it is a slap in the fucking face to hear this.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He should be feeling angry he's going to be remembered for helping Israel commit genocide, refusing to step aside and let the younger generation lead, and enabling fascism, but his hubris won't allow for that.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 hours ago

He should be feeling angry he’s going to be remembered for helping Israel commit genocide,

No, he's proud of that.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 hours ago

Trump already removed sanctions on some particularly violent West Bank settlers, the IDF launched a major operation in Jenin, and a group of Israeli settlers rampaged through several Palestinian villages in the West Bank, torching homes and businesses and vandalizing vehicles.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 1 day ago

And I'll never stop feeling angry that he didn't decide to step down after one term. The difference is that I'm going to live long enough to see the consequences of that decision.
