Idk man, don't you think your module factory on fulgora could use an upgrade? and your gleba base isn't very efficient.
Plus you've barely even touched quality. Have you tried out a legendary big mining drill yet?
Actually, Gleba is working pretty great. Why? How? Fuck, I don’t know. I think the gods of engineering smiled down on me. Or had pity.
It’s Aquilo I am concerned about. That base is in a constant state of failing but not actually breaking down. Like a sinking ship that doesn’t have the courtesy to finally submerge.
…
Also there is the shattered planet. Bragging rights are the most important rights after all.
What? But the factory must grow
I brought space age and I havent even gone to space yet. I havent even played with that part enabled, I've just been making a vanilla megabase with the new quality items and rails. They're insane it reminds me of bobs mods.
I’m no factorio expert and I prolly took 20 hours before I managed to get to another planet. Blows my mind people can beat the whole game in that time.
Opposite of me! Have yet to touch quality...
How did you deal with research? Just mod it?
Pretty sure quality is it's own mod that you can run independently of space age, but I could totally be wrong there.
You're correct. I'm running base game, quality, elevated rails. No space age.
As [email protected] said, all parts of Factorio are mods, and can be enabled separately. The Base mod, which can't be disabled has the vanilla game; the Quality and Elevated Rail mods, which are from the Space Age DLC but can be activated whenever; and the Space Age mod.
I don't know which mod is responsible for changing science and recipes though. Coupd be either side.
Absolutely valid move here, we started a mp server, three total players and while we didn't do any kind of rush, we all agreed most of us will need a lot more hours to actually get to play with everything properly.
Hope she's into orgasm denial.
For days
Kinky is as kinky doesn't.
There’s a new factorio game??
As others have said, it's DLC. It might as well be a new game though because it changes so much. It also released with a free update that's pretty big too.
It's a dlc that adds 3 new planets to explore after you finish the game. It's quite fun if you like factorio.
I'm assuming you've played it, but for others reading this: It's more than just bonus content, the base game has been reworked to integrate the planets into the progression.
A Space Age playthrough is different than a base game playthrough basically from the get go.
It's worth noting that the various QOL changes and changes to the base buildings like inserters are included in the 2.0 update and are free.
If you enjoy it I highly recommend the space exploration mod. Its even better imo
It's different. They both have pros and cons.
The creator of Space Exploration was hired before they started the Space Age DLC, so a lot of lessons learned from it are implemented in Space Age.
There are tons of great overhaul mods to play though. I'd probably play something else before doing a Space Exploration run because they do share so many similarities it might be better to leave some space between playing them.
I like factorio in the same way I like cocaine. The first time I played factorio (without any stimulants involved) I played for 72 hours without food, water, or sleep.
Holy fuck what a great game. Great for independently wealthy people with no family or responsibilities.
Space Age? Whaaaat?
Edit: Oof... The dlc is the same price as the base game. :/
I'd ask if it's worth it, but I can't trust the Cracktorio fiends to be objective.
Factorio addict and I can't resist responding.
It's absolutely worth it in my opinion. They have reworked multiple major systems in the game for QOL improvements (but most of those changes do not require the DLC). The progression has been reworked to fit in with the completely overhauled late game that revolves around traveling to different planets and managing logistics between them. So you're not just getting bonus content.
I'm just dipping my toes into the new content but I think they did a phenomenal job of expanding on the base game without just adding another layer of complexity. I won't go into detail in case you hate spoilers, but when I got to my first planet it was a similar feeling to the first time I played Factorio. It brought back that feeling of winging it and having to work out the best way to solve problems, which I hadn't felt since my first couple playthroughs of the base game.
100% worth supporting devs of a game you've spent 1000+ hours on. Well worth the $30 USD. (Also, it's fun!)
The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because I will lose my job due to absence if I do.
don't know why nobody stated this but space age is basically five times larger than the base game. they've announced that even though the game is coming to switch, space age is not since it has much higher requirements.
it's not a dlc, it's a proper expansion.
5 times larger than the base game
It's a proper expansion
That's above and beyond a proper expansion. That sounds legendary. 🤩
it's more than that Kola, it's large.
me and three friends have been spending on average 80 hours each on a space age game together since the expansion released, and we're currently in the process of getting the third planet (out of five) to produce evenly without getting stuck.
each planet has basically it's own tech tree, and you need to re-learn how to build a factory every time because the conditions are so different.
where we are now, the only resource is "scrap". building a factory here involves basically running the entire process to build something in reverse, disassembling broken machine parts to extract the components, sorting them, and reusing them in new things. we're completely swamped in blue circuits, batteries and low density structures, which isn't much help when you need pipes.
That sounds legendary.
Only if you reroll it through your quality-modded assembler enough times.
Well it boils down to: do you like this game?
Got a small number of hours in it, 3,200 as I forgot how much the base game was, as I bought it years ago, let's assume £30. It gives me about 100 or so hours per £ spent which is insane value for money in the modern gaming sense.
Worth noting that Factorio never goes on sale. I assume the DLC will never go on sale as well.
Being ignored is a whole ass kink. Just a fysa
She ded
You are my people, lemmings.
Bruh I literally forgot how to play this game, I already have Space Age, but I just don't have the time to play it that much :(
I was doing good a couple months back, had an awesome base, then it got absolutely fucked by a horde of spider crickets or whatever you call them.
Reminds me of an ancient Fark post that had a partially nekkid girl tied to a chair near a TV with Futurama on it. Caption said "Cool, Futurama is on!"
I didn't realise the new stuff was mods and I've just been playing regular factorio for the last week. I should have been in space two science packs ago!
