I mean … yeah, that how it works, actually.

i was going to say that's how i got my cat. he LITERALLY walked in the door, jumped up on the couch and never left. lol

16 years later and he's still here on the couch next to me.

That's the way we got one of ours back in the day. I was on an evening walk with my then-gf, we came across a very friendly kitty, gave her some pets, and went on to go home. She followed, entered the house, went right to the litter box, did her thing, and promptly decided she'd live there for the rest of her life. Fucking cats man. Love 'em to death.

That's delightful.

I imagine his origin story, as an alley cat talking to another alley cat:

"Those house cats have it so nice. I wish I could have that."

"Bro. Just pick a human. They're push-overs."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. You just wait for their door to open and then pick your spot in the couch."

"That easy?!"

"It's that easy."

"I'm gonna do it."

You're not far off the mark. One tomcat I had once brought with him a new cat, a girl I hadn't seen before. He shared his food with her and now she lives here as well.

Would be funny if he brought a different cat every week.

he did it and now he's fat and lazy like i am. lol

Is it just me who imagined the thickest, most grungiest of voices the cat speaks in?

I heard Antonio Banderas

I definitely imagined it deep and raspy, like the cat in that HBO cartoon El Perro y El Gato.

I think it's its face lol

I wouldn't mind seeing more comics in Spanish here!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Simple Spanish too. You could read this with a bit of American high school spanish

Can confirm. I only had a bit of trouble with the last frame but was able to translate perfectly from context.

Ahora tengo gato would've worked just as good

You have a right to a cat. If you do not have one, one will assign itself to you.

Spanish is a bit more casual than the translation. More like “gotta cat?” “now ya do” “and that’s how I got cat”.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago

"Do you have a cat? No? Well you do now!"

This comic was already posted in this community around February. (Don't mind me I have untreated ADHD)

My using 100% of my brain to recall the spanish i (should) know because i lived in spain for 4 months.

The cat in top panel looks like a dog.

The one in bottom looks like someone dressed as a cat.
