Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! โœˆ๏ธ

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Most of the time kaya mo naman bawasan yung mga ingredients talaga. Start with what you want to cook first and just use your tongue while cooking.

Pero bili ka kahit nung manual food processor at least and then just go to town on onions and garlic tapos lagay mo sa ziploc na hiwalay and pasok mo sa freezer. Halos lahat ng luto yun lang kailangan mo hiwain if you trim it down.

ALWAYS marinate your meat.

ALWAYS remember to incorporate salt, fat, acid, and heat with what you are cooking.

ALWAYS taste your food

Cook and season in layers. Meaning at every stage be tasting and seasoning your food.

Most of the time its just:

Marinate you meat preferably with an acid to tenderize

Brown your meat

Take out meat

Saute garlic and onions + fat

Pour sauce (adobo/caldereta/cream of mushroom) and reduce to desired consistency add water if needed

Add meat in sauce

Simmer for a few more minutes and done.

The super shortcut: A slow cooker and an oven.

If you got the money look into sous vide cooking

1.Vacuum sealer the meat in a bag
2.Dunk the meat in temp controlled water and let it cook
3.Put meat back in the fridge for future use
4.When ready to cook just sear the meat in the pan for 1-2mins each side or use a blowtorch if you're fancy
