The Springfield City School District closed one middle school and evacuated two elementary schools Friday morning, according to school officials.

Perrin Woods and Snowhill Elementary students were evacuated from their buildings to a different district location after receiving information from the Springfield Police Division, school district officials said.

The district is in the process of a controlled release to dismiss students to their parents.

Roosevelt Middle School also closed today before the beginning of the school day in relation to unspecified information the district received from the police division. Some parents who were arriving at Roosevelt with their students were turned away, according to reports.

So, the actual threat is not coming from immigrants, but from 'loyal Americans?'

“There are a lot more people that are for the community than against,” Rue said.

The problem is that it only takes one triggered lunatic to cause mass disruption and there’s an army of them throughout this stupid country. GD JD Fuckface for launching this conspiracy bullshit into space and GD the orange bad for repeating it.

Rightwing politics is stochastic terrorism.

This will only end after people are murdered.

I see you chose optimism today.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I honestly try to have a brighter outlook on things, but then shit like this happens...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

I think the "optimism" cited is that this would ever end.

People are regularly murdered in schools. It doesn't change anything.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hence 'after' and not 'when.'

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Still not sure what you mean. It hasn't ended after people have been murdered.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

First of all, I'm pretty sure no one has been murdered yet over this stupid dog-eating bullshit.

Secondly, if it doesn't end until after people have been murdered, the murders won't end it.
