Best of luck! Do you know which area u want to specialize on?

Probably computer engineering

Odds are strong.

Lol Sherlock..For those that know computer engineering, there are sub areas of expertise ... CE is a vast field.

There weren't specializations for it when I got my degree in it ... but all that does is reveal that I'm old.

I wanna go in A.I., specifically reinforcement learning.

reinforcement learning

HuggingFace has a good free course with certificate on their site. I took it a couple months ago.

Data structures and algorithms will take you to any corner of the industry.

Bright future! Stay on top of AI, it's at minimum a tooling revolution but of course potentially way more.

Best of luck!

Good luck! I've got a computer engineering degree. It's a great field.

The two courses I find myself using way more then I expected in the job are DSP and linear algebra. If DSP isn't part of your core I highly recommend it as an elective. Having a deep understanding of Nyquist frequency folding and Fourier transforms is highly useful.

For study aids I highly recommend the Schaum's Outlines books for your subject. They focus on having a lot of problems with detailed solutions. They helped me a lot on understanding the how and why of solving problems.

It was a bit borring since I kinda already knew how to code, but I managed to meet some old classmates!

One week in, how's it going?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I underestimated my executive dysfunction and ended up mixing up my schedule 😭. But at least I already knew the subjects of the classes. I'll make sure that doesn't happen again, though.

Mistakes are how we learn. Good job making a plan!
