Its just a Lemmy problem where every person is a 40, 50+ Sysadmin with 2 kids and only plays single player games because they don't have time and have become estranged with childhood / young adulthood (?) friends.

I just played L4D2 a few weeks ago with friends, the whole campaign and will continue to do so with other games

No, no, the majority of Lemmy users THINK they're sysadmins but in reality they're probably helpdesk.

I resent that, I'm a security manager.

People complain to me and then I track and fix those complaints....wait shit

But you're on lemmy, how are you able to do such a thing

I wonder everyday if this is the right place for me

I also regularly play L4D2 and CoD Zombies with friends. These games still exist. Just play them lol

I remember playing multiplayer games on a single console.

My friend and I playing pvp COD WaW on an 18” CRT trying not to screenpeak was a whole time lol

Ah so you too bought the VGA cable and hauled out an old monitor as well? A person of culture, I see.

I didn't have an HDTV in 2008, so digging out the CRT from the old family PC buried in the garage and hooking it up to the 360 was the only way I could get 720p back then. It looked stupid but it worked.

Nope, the Xbox 360 had an RCA connector so you could play it on CRT TVs no problem. This was all around 2009/2010.

I'm aware of that; by "CRT" I thought you meant CRT monitor.

Oh no, just a hilariously tiny TV haha

The game may live on but the squad is long gone. :'(

(And no I don't want a new squad. It just wouldn't be the same...)
