God, I'm so fucking tired of AAA game devs spouting bullshit like this. Do you make good games, sure, are they revolutionizong the industry, no. Get your fucking head out of your ass.

As a AAA Game Dev, so am I.

In fact, I feel like most of the people who actually work on games and are in the trenches are tired of it too.

Can't wait for the remake of the remake of Last of Us 2! Really genre defining work!

Nice guess, but the revolutionary direction that they have taken Crash Bandicoot will redefine gaming, and media in general, as they elevate art and entertainment to unimaginable levels of creativity and interaction. It will be an award-winning transcendental cultural phenomena.

Half Life: Blue Shift was, IIMHO, the first Second Person game. You play as Barney and in several places get to see Gordon Freeman doing Half Life 1 things.

Sorry Neil but Skull and Bones is already the first AAAA game

Will it be a 3rd person action game with 2 hours of cutscenes and quick time events?

But but but...that's amazing storytelling according to ps fanboys.

Kojima takes notes, furiously

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

What are you talking about? Kojima pioneered the Strand Type Game™

Pretty sure he hasn't used QTEs yet... but point taken

Let me tell you about a little game named Policenauts

[–] [email protected] 17 points 5 months ago

this dude makes Peter Molyneux look like a self-effacing realist

This is the same guy that thought his anti-revenge story was the second coming of christ and people just didn't understand.

My favorite parts were the subtle sci-fi elements, like the characters teleporting between cities

[–] [email protected] 15 points 5 months ago

It could. It's not going to, but it could.

I got access and you won't believe this... It's a game centered around a big pound sign and then two players take turns placing X's and O's. First one to get 3 in a row wins. Dude, this is gonna be totally revolutionary.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago

I heard the first dlc, you can put a line through the winning row

Neil Druckmann’s about to make you his bitch.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

Underrated burn. Hot damn.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

Yeah, that's the same energy...

But at least John Romero came off a hot streak with his stinker.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

When the twitter trolls called him Neil Cuckmann they didn't know who was about to get cucked.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago

Good thing that hype always delivers.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

At this point I'm expecting it to be a movie.
