No, seriously, they are, it is the only thing that helps long term. I am not saying that people with 'cluster b' 'personality disorders' never harm anyone. However it is likely not moreso than anyone or anymany can harm others.

It is interesting you assumed that because we defended people with 'cluster b' traits or diagnoses that we have such things too. We don't, we just have known many people with such and they haven't been like you described, and we have actually looked into such things whilst avoiding all the unwarranted hatred that makes people unnecessarily hate on such people no matter what.

Scientific theories are not the same as lay person 'theories', scientific theories are called such because science does not seek to 'prove' anything but have increasingly more evidence for any such thing, therefore this is why it is a theory, not because it is not 'proven' yet but because that is how science does things.

Also, we actually looked into the 'dark triad' and it has nothing to do what you are talking about, it is: Sub clinical narcissism (so decidedly not 'NPD'), Machiavellianism and Sub clinical psycopathy (So again nothing that is diagnosed professionally). It may be that you are falling victim to the jingle-jangle fallacies also.

We dismiss things like the DSM and ICD (though the ICD isn't just to do with trauma, psychological diversity etc but diseases like covid etc) because we have seen that in a lot of things they do more harm than good in their diagnoses of people and it is better to deal with the underlying causes, thinking and feelings as many therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and theraputic practices do.

Regardless people with NPD, BPD and ASPD belong here are deserve help to get better, especially if they have harmed others because not helping them will not stop such, in my experience and understanding, understandable reactions to what they went through.

People need to stop being armchair psychologists and having instant hatred and though understandable in some cases, fear of them and deal with them on a case-by-case basis like we do with anybody. If they are being cruel then that is what is best to deal with, not assume they know everything about them because they might have read a book or diagnoses once. Instead get to know them as a person and help them, denigrating and exiling them from community does not help in most cases, if anything it makes them 'worse'. If you don't wish to be in community with them, that's perfectly reasonable. However, always exiling them regardless of how they behave is not the best reaction as then they cannot be helped, they aren't their dianoses but real people who need justice (restorative and transformative) and help.

We have seen much hatred towards 'cluster b' diagnosed people here, other places online and offline too and we have seen very few situations which made us think they deserved it, they aren't incapable of change and a quick call out or call in and suggestion towards a particular action, love care and understanding is usually enough to help, not the constant hate and fearmongering they get which makes them understandably react in ways which are not helpful but anybody that understands what they might have been through will understand why they react like that.

We hope this helps you grow and react better to 'cluster b' diagnosed people and you do some research and actually talk to people with such diagnoses or experts in such things.
