Your tattoo idea is really sensible, really solid idea. Main thing I'll say is save the money to do it right 100% worth it.
Funnily enough my friends a programmer even though she's good at writing! She's wfh on a really good wage even though she only started it a few years ago
I didn't ask about yours but I did see lurking (and upvoting) in women's stuff that you got a unicorn! I think a mythical / fantasy creature is an awesome idea. And I'm assuming that's your start?

Yep a unicorn! I've got 5 now I think the unicorn might be my favourite. I'm not allowed another one for a year cos 5 in 2 years is excessive (making up for lost time)

I deeply and spiritually identify with this statement right now. Me too, or at least I aim to. I'm glad to hear that you're choosing to feed your soul and I hope that each one of those tatts makes you feel more like you.

Honestly, if you dig tattoos and have the money to spend on them, why not? A friend of mine also got a bunch of tattoos in a really short time, probably also like 4-5 within a year or so, and has been very happy with them. Tattoos are for your enjoyment first and foremost, so who's to tell you when you've had enough?
I just got my second one back in November and am really happy with it. Already brainstorming ideas for new ones. Really does feel like once you've started, there's no stopping. But money's always an issue for as long as my apprenticeship is going on
