Ukrainian sentiment was leaning heavily towards the EU for years, the Russian puppet said "naw we best friends with Russia instead" (even though the parliament overwhelmingly votes to sign an eu trade agreement), the people protested, the government violently cracked down on those protests which only intensified them until the parliament removed him from office (after he fled to Russia, mind you). If you think the US orchestrated all of that, you're even a bigger western chauvinist than you probably think I am.

While we're at it, it's day 1142 of a 3 day operation. Is putin dumb? Can he count?

You should read Jeffrey Sachs’ breakdown of events. You’re just repeating propaganda that’s in no way factual.

The people voted for neutrality. The US removed the president in a soft coup by backing far right extremists. The people again wanted a neutrality president, so Zelenskyy ran on that platform, then completely flipped once elected, and has refused to hold elections since.

This doesn’t have a damn thing to do with what the Ukrainian people want. They’ve made their preference clear plenty.
