He wasn't fillibustering anything. Literally ... no one cared. Nothing got delayed. The multiple Republicans that voted with democrats stopped all votes until Monday.
It wasn't supposed to do anything like that. It was an audition for Chuck Schumer's job, laying out what the Democratic agenda would look like under his leadership, while showing strength, all things Schumer doesn't have.
I'm not a big fan of Booker, but he's miles ahead of the weak, simpering weenie Schumer. I'll NEVER forgive him for stabbing Al Franken in the back. He's got to go, and let AOC take his place.
Schumer is a Republican in my mind. Not quite MAGA level, but he is working for them and giving those traitors aid.
Thanks for the Booker tip, I didn't realize what he was doing. I hope he does get Schumers job, anyone with a spine would do better.

Do you have a quote where he says something along the lines of "With this act of protest I am attempting to become the new minority leader?"
If not then you can't assume that and you know it. Of that's what he meant then he should say it using big boy words.
You don't really understand how politics works do you? If you are waiting for politicians to SAY exactly what they mean, you are going to be very confused at what is happening around you.
Trump said exactly what he would do and then he did it.

Yes, it was pretty stunning how he both negotiated peace between Russia and Ukraine and lowered grocery prices on day one.
