We just got back from 7 weeks in Europe and I was really sorry we hadn't put on any Canadian tags on our backpacks or clothes. People (Canadians included) are hesitant to talk to you and they treat you with caution or hostility until they find out you're Canadian.

I'm an Ontarian and cancelled my trips to New York and San Francisco this year to see friends. I shamefully haven't travelled much of Canada. Any recommendations?

If you haven't been west to BC I would recommend coming over for a visit with camping supplies and hitting the wilderness. We have so many camp grounds and the scenery is amazing you may live in the tent and never leave. haha

Hmm I'm taking a look at hotels now maybe I can work remotely, working there for a week so I won't even burn holiday,

I spent last Spring in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec. Had a blast. Land's End and the entire Gaspesie peninsula was beautiful. Watching the tides at Hopewell Rocks and walking on the seafloor while the tide was out was wild. Whale watching and eating scallops out of Digby was awesome. All manner of cool things in striking distance of Baddeck. PEI has... um.. a surprisingly interesting potato museum. Go for it!
