Kelvin is an absolute temp scale, it equals °C + 273.15. So even a 20°C cup of coffee (68°F, colder than ambient...) is 293 kelvin. IQ only goes up to 200 so that coffee is smarter than Einstein...

Also: Einstein's IQ was estimated to be around 160 or 170 (he never took the test). 160 kelvin is -113°C... (-171°F... very very cold coffee).

Where in the meme does it mention temperature?

The meme doesn't say anything about the coffees IQ being related to temperature.

The person with the supposedly low IQ jumps to that conclusion in response to being insulted.

We could be talking about the physical height of the placement of the cup, maybe it's on a low shelf?

It should read "Son, that cup of coffees temperature is higher than your IQ".

I mean, yeah if I tried hard not to understand this meme, I could. It’s not very good, but you are being very intentionally obtuse.

It explicitly states the coffee has a higher IQ, not temperature.

Normally I don't care about sloppy use of English but when the meme is trying to be smarmy and act clever then yes I expect it to be correct.

Einstein never took an IQ test. The 160 to 170 thing is just a shot at a guess. Also, iq scores don't cap out at 200.

I'm aware the 160 is a guess, thanks for clarifying. I'll edit. Also, because of the nature of normal distribution and standard deviation, IQ given the current world population can only go up to 194.8

But you're technically right (the best kind of right), it could go above 200 with a world population of 76 billion.

Your iq link is just some guy asking a question and saying he thinks statistically the highest can only be 194.8 and then people replying telling him how he's wrong, fyi.

So even a 70°C cup of coffee (slightly warm, almost cold) is 343 kelvin.

Not relevant to your point, but 60°C is hot enough to scald. If that cup of coffee was 70°C, I'd be careful about sipping it.

Thanks. We're stuck with Fahrenheit here in America, so I'm not used to °C for practical applications... Because America is too stupid to switch to SI and it's impractical to not use the national standard (believe me I've tried)...
