8,653 cars over four dealerships in three days is ~~961~~ ~721 cars per dealer per day. (edit: fixed my math)

No dealership carries that many cars in one go, much less even capable of processing that many sales within 24hrs. Your average dealership sells maybe 100 cars a month.

Could they be inflating it using internarional order fulfillment/ shuffling cars to other dealerships? A dealership in idk India wants a Model X with a specific trim and motors, so they pack and ship, and count it as sold from these 4 Canadian inventories? Also moving them to the US for sales since they're not selling well internationally?

If the dealership had 100 employees in the Show room, each of them would have to process 76 customers a day. At an 8 hour work day, that would be one ~10 customers per hour.

This gives each employer 6 minutes to finish a sale.

Very unlikely, if not impossible.

The biggest dealer I have ever been to had like 5 salespersons in store at any given time.

Car salespeople work longer than 8 hours. More like 10, especially nowadays where pickins are slim. Still a bunch of bullshit numbers no matter how you slice it. This really gives the same vibes as Trump inflating the value of his properties by lying about the square footage. I would bet there's some kind of financial gain being made from this claim.

Indeed, they wanted the 40 million in rebates this many cars would bring from canada's rebate program for EVs, right out of taxpayers pockets.
