Summary

The Trump administration plans to revoke temporary legal status for 240,000 Ukrainians who fled Russia’s war, fast-tracking them for deportation.

The move is part of a broader effort to strip protections from 1.8 million migrants admitted under Biden’s humanitarian parole programs.

Trump’s policies also target 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Legal challenges are mounting, as affected individuals face uncertain futures. Advocates warn that even U.S. allies, such as Afghans who assisted the military, are now at risk of detention and deportation.

Covid is not gone in the US. Here's the CDC data:

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home

Thousands are still dying from it every day in March of 2025. Largly due to the poor adoption rate of the vaccine due to propaganda.

Good job admitting you've turned a blind eye to thousands dying every day. The loss of life only counts when it isn't American lives right?

You're a really great example of the effects of propaganda making anyone intolerant.

But do go on about the spending. Maybe you can figure out how much each American death costs Russia per capita, and compare it to how much they spent to make you apathetic about it.

You can't reason with that person.

They're a Russian troll.

I'm aware. I got them to shut up. And I distracted them from doing whatever the FSB tasked them with.

They only way you can fight trolls like that is by wasting their time. Hopefully in a way they realize their work isn't worth the pay.

(But appreciate the heads up!)

Yeah.

Check out my last chat with them.

I completely even called out how it's gonna go, and he played it to the letter.

It's always the same with those fuckers. All one can do — just like you said — is to waste their time and piss them off a bit.

You might enjoy using вахтера as an insult against them. ~ "Watchman" / "janitor".

There's a thing called Синдром вахтёра, "Watchman's/janitor syndrome" sort of. The connotations don't translate well, as you can't perhaps see from how my translator considers this site. https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%BF%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D1%8F:%D0%A1%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B4%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%BC_%D0%B2%D0%B0%D1%85%D1%82%D1%91%D1%80%D0%B0

Oh hell yeah. Thank you for this! I was unaware of the insult. Great to learn, and much appreciate the info! Glad to know you're fighting the good fight as well. That was a great time hilariously good exchange you had with them. You called it out perfectly haha

Haha.

I'm not.. inexperienced.

Honestly, Lemmy is infested with Russians.

It's sad how any openness or non-monopolies, slight lack of total moderation and actually trusting the people instantly gets shot down by Russia.

I have a real world equivalent; Gotland.

A large Swedish island in the Baltic Sea. Sweden completely demilitarised it at one point. And instantly it got infested with Russian "tourists" and started getting Russian subs passing by.

Sweden re-established a base on the island for this reason.

I'm Finnish. I'm trained for war, literally. I mean, 75% of Finnish adult males are, but, still. I'm ready.

Fucking come at me, Vanja
