I've been banned twice in the past 30 days.
I got permabanned a couple weeks ago for saying "the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi"
Like, why are you defending Nazis, spez? Huh?
It solidified Lemmy as my permanent reddit replacement. No ragrets.
He’s defending Nazis because the president and “prime minister” are overt Nazis.
I got permabanned for reporting hateful comments on a r/conservative post that was glorifying Nazis a few weeks ago. No warning. Been on Reddit for over a decade without causing any problems. Sounds like Reddit as a corporation has picked a side
If you post on r/conservative they will actually stalk you and look through your posts to report stuff ... but you report them and that is ok.
They picked a side when they let a bunch of fash shit slide on T_D in the run up to 2016. No surprise though-- tech bros rarely have a working moral compass
and they allow r/conservative constantly hit the front page now, when it almost never did prior to the election.,
And it’s so much worse now with how many sub comments and posts that sub has. It’s painfully obvious they’ve replaced even the most devout users with autogenerated agenda posts. That place is some of the most obvious propaganda I’ve seen on the internet
same thing happened to me, but on a different sub. "they said report abuse is not allowed" so i was temp ban on a technology sub, funny enough. and it just triggered a full sitewide ban for all my other accts with little warning.(im pretty sure the temp suspension was going to get perma banned down the line, because i heard other used got banned sitewide after thier temp ban ended for no reason at all, which was caused by an error on thier part which they refused to do anything.) basically if you been temp banned the filters on subs dont reset so it detects you as a ban evader if you comment on the sub again, even if you are in the clear.
alSO IF the mod doesnt like you reporting someone they will lecture you and ban you for "report abuse".
i found out mods do not want to deal with large query of "reports" from users so they get lazy and they autoban, or ban people just to not have to do anything about the person being reported. in case the accts gets a repeal, they will make an excuse up to admins why they banned someone.
I got banned a few weeks back for an anti-trump post.
That account was 11 years old and I was very active over those years. But nope. Don't talk smack about the orange god.
100% agree
reddit has been sliding right wing for a while, 90% of the posts are about trump, and not really the important things hes doing behind the scenes, just "reaction posts" of trumps gaffes. reddit is also sustaining X social media too with thier posts.
I got permabanned like two years ago for quoting “eat the rich” by Aerosmith. Also suggesting we should eat the rich. Several times. They also permabanned everyone on my wifi. I did the entire household a service.
You got IP banned, damn.
I use 4G for my home internet, my IP address changes so frequently. Always thought IP bans were kinda dumb, certainly permanent ones. Maybe throw a week long one on so they don't immediately create a new account but past that their address has almost certainly changed.
Same. I used Reddit for 12 years. Got perma-banned last year for saying things about Israel that people didn't like, I guess.
Moved to lemmy.
The thing is said last summer that got me permabanned was “international law states that occupied indigenous populations have a right to resist occupation and fight back by any means possible” reddit has an aversion to facts as do all conservatives and their fellow neo liberal boot lickers
If it's anything but fasc or bootlicker content, they've been trying to ban it.
i said something about israel on worldnews at the start of the gaza conflict, site wide suspension for 7 days, i largely abandoned that acct, and went witha throwaway(and mostly avoided that sub). then i was banned last month with the throwaway triggered a multi-ban.
5 of my accts were banned last month, all at once. one got temp suspended, and a triggered a sitewide ban for the others for some "reason. theres no reason to ban all others when it was just temp suspended. but they went extra out of thier way(any old and new accts that have years of seperation between a subreddit ban(if they dint get banned immediately after getting sub banned) they banned accounts.
ex, i had 2 unused accts 5+years, and 1 recent temp suspension(then they look at other accts you were per banned from a subreddit in, and banned all of them). i had also a couple of unused throwaways that i started using from years ago(last month), and a semi-new acct that i use just in case of a ban that i dint use for 90days. and then 1 acct strictly used for 1 subreddit.
only 1 survived but its still flagged by reddit, but have no ban on it right now. creating mroe than 1 acct just puts people at risk of getting banned.
