Women have been within their rights to defend themselves from attack for a very long time, and the legal and penal system pretty clearly reflects that fact.

It's not the right to defend that is the problem here. It's the attacks.

Sadly with the shitshow that is the american people these days, this is by design. They want people to feel like there is no reason to protest anything, and whatever is happening to them is their own fault or responsibility
