I am very much asking you to abandon the Democratic party which has failed you and seek alternatives. I have not see a thoughts and prayers sentiment I have seen a get your shit together and join organizations who will actually do something sentiment
I would love to, but what the hell are we gonna do? Starting a new nationwide party is practically impossible and. (Intentionally so, of course)
And as much as we can point fingers and say "the people can fix the two party system" we have seen on multiple occasions that without major election reform that simply isn't the case. Most of the country's voters are older, and as we have seen today and yesterday, most voters would rather not vote at all than vote outside their party's lines. The only reason third parties are even allowed to exist in the US is to either give the illusion of choice, or to spoil elections (as some argue happened in 2000, on top of all the other things fucked up with the 2000 election)
Until you get attacked by MAGAs and proud boys.
'DNC betrayed us' crowd have no idea what's in store. They wanted a radical change? They're getting a radical change, just in an unexpected way.
The Democratic Party slow rolled the justice system on Trump so they could run against him :)
