Ya,thats fair. I was hot and cold on it myself, and stopped after the 3rd episode for a long time out of bored. But I liked the ending well enough which already makes me enjoy it more than most of the internet lol.

Nobody said it was great, it wasn't, it pales compared to hotd and is humiliated in the light of the actual LOTR movies.

But it's also far better than the Hobbit trilogy and the last season of got.

Honestly tv isn't doing well right now, I'll take what I can get.

Nope. Most fans did but people are haters. It's popular to shit on everything and nobody has an in between. Things are either a masterpiece of "unwatchable". There's no nuance in show, movie or game reviews anymore.
