I use a Firefox extension to redirect any YouTube links to open in Ungoogled Chromium, which so far seems to be immune to Google's anti-Adblock campaign.
edit: Extension is called Open In
Wow, people are so smart!
Any chance you could DM the the name of the extension (is you can't mention it here?)
I'll post it in a reply when I'm at home on my computer in a few hours. I don't remember what it's called.
EDIT: It's called Open In
Just bumping the thread because I'm interested in this extension
Open In
Thanks a lot!
As promised, the extension is called Open In
I can't get this popup on Firefox and I have tried hard to get it. I also noticed that I never get video ads even without an adblocker if just reject all cookies at the cookies prompt (only works in EU I guess)
Either way you could try this guide which apparently fixes the issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/173jmog/youtube_antiadblock_and_ads_october_09_2023/
I appreciate it, but I'm still going to stick with Ungoogled Chromium for YouTube. mainly because Firefox still doesn't support HDR and RTX Super Resolution.
That's fair.
