So this started coming up today. On every video. I can (so far) click the "x" and remove it to watch (still see 2 ads before the video, and one after 4 minutes - ruins music on YT), but did click the "Report issue" only for the dialogue box not to work.

I found a link to a that said 11% use adblock. Thats not a lot.Maaayyyybe there is a problem with the amount of ads youtube forces down our throats for even short videos. 🤷‍♂️

I have firefox and adblocker and haven't ran across this. 11% using adblock is like hundreds of millions of people using adblock, actually a significant margin of loss ads shown

Its probably an exageration by marketing corps tbh.

I cry for the richest company in the world not making more money.

So unfair! /s

Im baffled how 89% can survive without adblock. I would have died by electroshock, if there wasn’t adblocks available. (Hitting (my) pc too hard)

I have the YouTube app on my phone and when I'm cleaning, shopping for groceries or whatever, I open it with auto-play next video enabled and essentially let it load ads, so Google can be happy.

When I'm actually consuming YT, I block ads because fuck ads.

Most people use the official app.

Ah, I see it’s YouTube specifically not web in general. I must agree, I gave up on blocking YouTube and went to India (von) and together with the family plan I got to about 1.5$ a month (ruf estimate from remembering) for premium Of course, this doesn’t stop YouTube from tracking my behavior. It’s a trade of, I am currently accepting for myself. I still support any action against the monopoly YouTube has on Video hosting.
