Last I heard Egypt readied a bunch of vehicles to evacuate people. Israel has bombed or shelled the crossing.

That's the opposite of what I've read, which is that closed the border indefinitely.

The literal first article title you posted is that bombardments hit the crossing

Palestinians don’t have artillery, so only one side can bombard.
