I’m stepdad to my friend’s dog (I take him when they’re away for work).
I don’t work a regular schedule so I’m home during the day a lot and I’ve noticed that he has active hours. It’s usually about 4PM-8PM.
Dogs need 10-14 hours of sleep day and he’s ok to chill at home… until 4:00. Damn dog has a watch I swear. Then it’s “WE GOTTA GO OUTSIDE!”
I dunno my point. Maybe that dogs (at least this dog) don’t really feel “cooped up” once they get used to your work schedule. 🤷🏻♂️
Yep, our dog does well with the school schedule but has a harder time when school is out. I also work from home. She snoozes away for most of that, but gets up to wait by the door at 2:30 like clockwork. She get SO excited when the kids come home from school, and so pathetic when school is out so they’re at their Mom’s instead
