Premieres sometime in 2025. There is a teaser PV here. Manga synopsis from AniList:

In the near future, a unique disease has swept across the planet: a virus that transforms humans into cats! And the horde is expanding, since if these adorable kitties snuggle with a human, the human is transformed into yet another cat. A small group of cat-loving survivors is trying to escape the madness, but how can you defend yourself against a threat you just want to cuddle and pet?! This wild new take on a post-apocalyptic survival tale will make you roll over and purr with delight!

Good to hear that the source executes such a ridiculous premise well. It sounds hilarious. I might have to check out the manga instead of waiting all the way to next year if I can find it.

It definitely lives and dies by the execution. I can definitely see a universe in which the adaptation is just as great if not better than the source material, but also a universe in which it'll be hard to watch.

You can find it. If you're the buying online type there's options aplenty, if you're the in-store type Barnes & Noble had me covered (I picked up 1-3 today after reading this thread lol.) If you're the piracy type I'm sure it's out there but I like print.
